I am also fan of Kyoto cooking, it has no fish since the city was away from the ocean but the local buddhist vegetarian food is awesome.

uramaki (cali rolls) arent real, I never got them anyhow, its something american and the sesame on the outside sucks too imho - you wont find them in a real sushiplace outside the states unless they cater to tourists

Salmon gets my vote as favorite. Also like Tuna, Yellowtail, Whitefish, Freshwater Eeel, Soft Shell Crab to name a few.

I really like Otoro, hate that it's so damn expensive. I also like volcano rolls and lobster rolls and of course the lowly (but delicious) crunchy roll.

Not authentic but tasted lovley, in Barca I used to get tuna and papaya rolls. losts of wasabi.. they were so tasty.

Easily salmon sashimi...

There's a place in Vancouver that does wild sockeye instead of the shitty atlantic farm salmon everyone else uses, and they also have no limit on sashimi with their all you can eat special. I will usually eat 40-50 pieces in a given meal
