I'm going to be crystal clear and I hope everyone is reading this.

Yes, Prostock's English is BAD, really really BAD.

However, if you think you should simply make fun or move on without paying attention then you've got another thing coming. I have an example that should bring the problem home to EVERYONE...

first, simple facts:

.5) I don't know either of these people intimitely, this is all to the best of my current knowledge...

1) Prostock is a photographer native to the Phillipines so English is his second language. He recruits, pays and shoots models. He sells to resellers and occasionally end-users like me or you.

2) Fuel sells content to webmasters that he either shoots himself or purchases wholesale from other photographers.

Now here's my unconfirmed, potential dilemma:

I bought exclusive content from Fuel that was produced by Prostock. Basically, I'm supposed to be the ONLY guy in the world that has the rights to these photos. I can sell them, spam them, piss on them... whatever I want.

I know Fuel to be a nice person, we've chatted on the phone and ICQ and he seemed on the 'up and up'. That's exactly why I purchased content from him.

I met Prostock separately and unknowingly here on GFY. He was on my ICQ months ago and nothing ever resulted back then. We get to talking on ICQ this week and I discover he's the photographer of the exclusive phone sex content I just purchased... I say cool! I like your work and it is good to know the guy shooting for my new supplier I'm using is you.

...Well then, things got weird...

All that I can tell currently is that from the sound of things Fuel might not have fulfilled his obligation to Prostock. I've already purchased the content from Fuel and I have a license in hand. However, it's entirely possible that he never had the right to sell the content if he didn't fulfill his agreement with Prostock by paying him for the content. This would make my license agreement worthless and the money spent a complete loss. I would have a potential liability with Prostock if this is true.

See the possible problem? This is a perfect example of how ANYONE that buys content could have a liability without even knowing it. Fuck, the only reason I know is basically dumb luck.

What do I do now?

Well, in good conscience all I can do is wait to hear from both parties (Producer, Seller) that with regards to MY content that yes, I'm the owner and there is no dispute about that. I give fuck-all about their other issues and as far as I'm concerned they're both nice guys and I don't care about their problems with one another. In the mean time I will publish nothing.

Whatever happened... they both seem like decent people but obviously something in the relationship went wrong somewhere. It seems to me that they should just both resolve their issues amicably so that it doesn't have to get aired on GFY more than it has been already.

Fuel, Prostock - please contact me privately to resolve this. I suspect there might be lingering curiousity here on GFY so you're welcome to post publicly if you wish.

A lot of the posts on this thread come from morons who can only poke fun because Prostock cannot speak good English. He lives in the Philippines. how many webmasters on this board speak two languages?

Fuel came to me with Prostocks content and tried to sell it to me as if he owned it. He said he had bought it from the photographer. I turned it down on the documents not being up to standard and the photography.

Prostock, it would always be helpful to get something in writing so you both know what is expected. Never give a photoset to anyone to resell on your behalf unless you can show he's just an agent and the comission expected. It may not be a contract but you would have more to offer us than just acusations.

This is Prostock's girlfriend, first, I want to make a few things clear. Prostock is an american and you can think he does'nt know how to spell or speak english, the fact is he is very dyslesic and it gets worst when he is stressed.
Now, if this is happening to you how do you think you would react. Read abut it if you don't know what is "dyslexic", I used to think the same thing as some of you though until i read about it.

Beofre you start worrying how he spells, see how this happened and he only came here to the board for help and ask what to do. If you knew more on Prostock's past you might even understand more. Three years ago, he was doing the same thing, making content and at the same time had a few websites. Now, I can tell you and he is the first to tell you that he does'nt do anything mechanically with the website. Well, he hired a person to handle all of his gallery, webhosting and maintenance while he made more content in Russia. The next thing he knows, the sites are down, he cannot contact the hosting company or the webmaster to see what's going on. Three weeks later he finally finds out who the hosting company that the webmaster had moved his sites to. He contact the hosting company only to find out the money he was been paying to the webmaster for the hosting went into the webmaster's pocket. What killed him is that the hosting company wiped his files clean. There were 7 sites with over 600 members and he lost all of it.

So now people, put these two things into factor and you will understand why he spells like hell. And two, why he is so upset. He does'nt want to lose it again.



To Brad and Charly, I thank you for the kind post. People that know him knows that he tries his best.

I can tell you Brad and Charly, he would not be able to produce papers that you talked about. I know for fact that he did not do a contract with him and that I know it's stupid on his part. But if you knew all that was to happen with the two of them, you might understand more.

I know that Fuel got mad at Prostock when he opened up his own small exclusive content website. But Fuel have his content site all the way done yet. And it's been over two months and the site still not than. This is how Prostock makes a living, so he has to do something to increase his sale which he has done well. Unlike Fuel, who has many other incomes. So, I hope this helps people to understand more on this matter. What is more sad is that I know they become very good friends and talked for hours at the time. I know this had happened.

In my experience Fuel is a good guy. I designed the frontpage and template for the soon-to-be content site, and got paid with no problems, even when I asked to change the payment method AFTER I had finished the design.

I'm sure there's a good explanation for all this.
