Goo Gone, it has citrus oil in it.

With all of the offshore drilling in Santa Barbara you always get tar feet from the beach, so when I'm there I bring a bottle of Goo Gone, pour some on a towel and it takes it right off (with some scrubbing).

You can buy it anywhere, and it's great to have around the house.

When I was running my home improvement company back in NY, my roofing guys used Lestoil. It also got the splatters off of my Thunderbird.

Go to the hardware store ~ I'm sure there's a Canadian equivilant to Goo Gone. It's 100% non-toxic, and has a pleasant citrus scent.

Canadian equivalent is called "Goof off".

But I was serious about the Amway Bug & Tar remover. All their shit is environmentally safe too. A car owner's dream if they park under a sap-dripping tree and want to preserve their paint.

Baby oil works well also. Chesire, that tar in Santa Barbara isn't from offshore drilling, it's natural tar that seeps out of the ocean here. Usually it's only the beaches towards the university. Downtown is completely tar free.

Oh, then I got a hold of some bad information...

Thanks Houdini, I hate looking stupid when it's not intentional.

Cathylynne,

You just gave me a total flashback to when I was a wee tike. Me and a buddy started making mudpies in the back yard and by the time we came home we were covered head to toe in mud. LOL. Okay, back to work.
