    Green Guy Copyright?


    The sad part in this is, I tried looking up greenguy on Google, and it never came up on the main page. I typed, and tried it any number of ways, and still nada. Closest I had gotten was greenguy and jim's thing.

    SEO for ya.

    Anyways, I found this link in my e-mail, and thought, hmmm.. now that looks like a possible copyright violation maybe.

    Thoughts?

      Considering that the "greenguy" character comes from The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy, I think that it would be pretty hard to claim copyright on it.

          Ah ha! Interesting. I had never saw the Green Guy moniker other than on that dude's site some years back. Apparently, back then, he was 'da man' in some circles. Don't know him.

                                                      I seem to remember him being asked about this before and apparently everything is cool. Also remember Thumbzilla being asked about this before since people thought he might run into trouble with Toho (makers of Godzilla). Can't remember the details now, other than the fact they had nothing to worry about.

                                                      He's certainly used the thing long enough that if there was going to be a lawsuit it would have happened by now.

                                                              Douglas Adams hated the green guy; it was the rest of the world who loved it.

                                                              For some reason, GreenGuy threads seem to hit here every 3, 4 months that I've noticed.
