Help - Server update, I need som info.
Can I upgrade my Apache version?
Current Version 4.4.3 What would happen if I upgrade to Version 4.4.4? Can some scripts stop to work? I would like to upgrade it to the latest version but I get the error message: Version 5.2.0 (Disabled: MySQL 4.1.19 or 5.0.21 or later required. So my question is: How do I upgrade MySQL? Will my scripts continue to work as before? If I upgrade to Apache Version 5.2.0, will the server, scripts and other stuff continue to work as before? What will be the difference? I'm a real newbie when it comes to servers, so take it easy :-) I'm working only in WHM so no ssh codes and that stuff. Thank in advance! (Im with servermatrix so I have to take care of the server myself)

You are confused...
Apache latest version is 2.2.3 ( http://httpd.apache.org/) But most servers still use the previous configuration... ( 1.3.37 ). You are referring to mySql ... If you go with the 5.0 + versions, some scripts could ( but maybe not ) stop functionning as they should. Why do you want to upgrade ? If you do decide to upgrade, read BEFORE to find out what issues could affect your scripts and what are the fixes. But if it does the job now, keep it that way... ![]()

yes you are right my PHP Version is 4.4.3 not apache :-)
I have problems on my server often, like: Used drive space increasing on /user partition like every day by 1% its up to 94% used disk space on user partition. I don't do anything its increasing by it self. I think it may be some logs, and I found out that when I run some upgrades like Apache upgrade, used disk space on user partition decreases to 70-80% then its all over again. I also experience a lot of "high server load" but I don't have sites that busy...

Could be Awstats keeping all the logs.
If you have a control panel, such as WHM, tweak the system to discard those logs after a certain period of time. If you have no panel, i would ecommend that you get an administrator to do this. A few posted on this board there contact info.
