wow bro thats sick, how much did that apartment cost you after the renovations

your in brooklyn rite?

I bought it back in 2001, at just over 300k, and spent about 75 on the reno. My neighbor on the 2nd floor just sold for about 800, so i think it will be worth it even tho the renovation was expensive. *fingers crossed*

Thats a huge difference befor and after, damn.
I really like the kitchen, although not having the dishwasher stainless to match the fridge would bother me.

I want to do a bunch to my condo, but i dont know if the market here will support the renovations I want to do, which kinda sucks.

Actually that is a clothes washer that doesn't match. The dishwaser does, it's further into the kitchen. The washer only came in white and silver.. so I went with what was closets to match. I guess a small price to pay for laundry in house, but definetly not perfect yea. :)

Ah, never seen that around here. Good idea then.
I was lucky enough to get insuit laundry via a 10x12 laundry/storage room.

My Condo with 1400 sq ft I got at 150k, and is now worth about 230k.
But for me to put the 40k I want into it would only get me about 10k more over what its worth now, which sucks in a way because I would love to do the reno.

Look great. COngrats on the renovation! If you wanna save more space in the living room, go with a nice wall mounted flat screen. :)

I have been waiting for the hubby to decide on one for weeks now! I think we will go with a panasonic 42" as soon as he decides to part with the $$.... I can't wait, it should look great. :)

It was almost a complete gut, new hardwood floors, everything new in the bathroom with kohler and toto fixtures, everything new in the kitchen with bosch and asko appliances, storage units added above the closest, fresh plaster and paint on the walls. Yes, it was definetly expensive, but I think it will pay for itself when I sell. My brother is renovating his house in Maine and tried to goa cheaper route, but he is having to get a lot of the work redone because it wasnt done right the first time.... So maybe in the end what I paid won't turn out to be too bad? Also, it seems like everything in NY costs extra. :)

Peaches 11-28-2006 12:18 PM

Wow, what a great difference!

My next job is to redo the kitchen - nothing as major as yours though. It's hard to tell yours is the same kitchen. Congrats and enjoy :)
