Nice Whip!

DAMN!
That car is just powerfull :thumbsup |
Love the car man, nice job. What have you done to the bottom end? If nothing you should be warned that with that paticular block, no one likes pushing them much past 400rwhp (and thats a general number, I'll ask aorund just to make sure that nothing has changed in the last year or two). Also, you might want to consider getting an ACT gauge if you plan on beating on it in the summer. I see you got the IC there, but 12 pounds of boost can lead to bad things if it gets too warm. Like I said, I love the car, and what you've done to it, I would just hate to see you grenade the bottom end.

congrats...its pimp love the yellow:thumbsup

As far as the intake goes, your not going to find anythign much better than an FR500. However, most people who are running an SC are goign over to a Bullit intake, those flow quite a bit better. If thats a 2 valve motor, there's plenty out there for cams and I can point you in the direction of a couple of really good boards that targeted towards that motor.

Congrats, enjoy the ride:thumbsup

Can you give me some money?

Just out of curiosity, did you move your intake air temp sensor to a position where it is after the aftercooler? If you did, you might just be able to pull a signal from that. Engine temp is really that important, but Charge Air Temp is. If you have your IAT sensor after the SC then your tuner can set it up so it starts pulling a lot of timing and dumping fuel if you start blowing really hot air. It would be similar to how the 03-04 Cobra works with a combination of O2's, rear O2's, and the CAT sensors. it would pull timing and dump you way rich when those 3 got out of spec. Rob's a bunch of power, but it save your engine. |

post #56 should read Engine temp isn't really that important

why did you go with a centrifugal blower instead of a roots type?
basicly what you have is a belt driven turbo and it has to spin up to make good boost. With a roots type you have all the power right off the start. Roush make a roots type supercharger that bolts right on your engine. Ford uses it on the GT500 and also sells it for the F150 |
The biggest problem with roots type SC's is that they turn into heat pumps due to thier design. Now an autorotor or a twin screw is really the shit. You get almost all the power on the bottom end, without the heat penelty at the high end. Plus you can get away with running more boost with a centi than a roots type before you blow shit up, just due to the nature of where the power is in the curve.
|
Choker, got a couple of good coments for you regarding that 3V. The first is from the shop I do business with, and they really know their shit. The 2nd is from a local guy who has some experiance blowing shit up.

Congrats on a sweet ride.
Just picked up a new car last week myself, Feels GOOOOD:pimp It is a bit more of a family car then this baby but still has around 400HP from a Turbo, Intercooled 6 cylinder so it's not all bad. |
