Oooh Man Do I Ever Feel Like A Dick! (Telemarketing Related)

So I have been getting called all day by telemarketers and it's been driving me nuts. You know when you get the call with no caller id or the id says "long distance". You also know it's telemarketing when you say hello it takes like a second or so for the person to respond because the software is programmed to take you to an operator as soon as they have voice recognition.

So anyways I'm trying to organize stuff today for something I am going to tonite and these calls are driving me BATTY! So I get the 3rd call in like an hour and I am totally pissed and just go off on the person on the phone and to ask them to take me off their list.

So she says "ummmm sorry to bother you but you owe us money...".

LMFAO! Apparently a payment was supposed to come out of my account and they didn't have my pre-authorized debit LOL!

I felt like such a dick and apologized profusely to this nice old french lady on the phone.

So that's a lesson to be learned, be nice to telemarketers and especially people you owe money to HAHAHAHAH!!

ok so I had the same problem about 6 weeks ago, but replace the telemarketer with a police officer. Turns out the cop was calling to say that he had found my wifes missing phone, and I thought it was some dick crank calling me. I went to town on his ass and called him a "fucking stupid c*nt who must have the smallest dick known to mankind for pulling such a dumbass stunt". Needless to say it wasn't taken at all well. Nearly got myself arrested for that one. Oh well.

I've never done that, but I think a lot of telemarketers earn their bad reputation. I had once moved and gotten a new phone number and for the first few weeks I would come home from work to messages from some collection agency looking for some woman. I decided to call them and tell them they had the wrong number. The guy was a total dick to me and accused me of being her boyfriend and covering for her

I also had a guy call me and offer me a free prize with no cost. Then he went one to tell me to get my prize I had to order something. I told him that if I had to buy something it wasn't free and hung up on him. He actually called me back. I had never had that before.
