RawAlex, I always appreciate your posts and agree with you. This particular perspective I must digress. I think the wm community should not and will not let sexsearch unscathed because they avoided addressing the issue. They should be held responsible even more so than aff/lars because not addressing the issue is a big "FUCK YOU" in addition to the theft and larceny they are engaged in. I compare sexsearch's action to a defendant being charged with a crime and simply not showing up to court. Yes, aff/lars caught a lot of flak but they did face the music, there should be *some* acknowledgement there. Sexsearch is a rogue company with such arrogance and disregard that is tantamount to criminality. I hope to see that hollywoodhorowitz and marina (or whatever the fuck their names are) are held personally liable. |

Exactly. Even if 1 webmaster - which undoubtedly are more - takes his traffic away as a result of these threads, they served a purpose. |
Yes, but lars and AFF took the heat and then kept on buying the traffic anyway. They were forced, remember?
Sexsearch (and a few others) won't change off of this policy because they feel that it gives them the best return for payout. Perhaps they buy $40 worth of Zango traffic for a sale, but they have to pay an affiliate $75 for the same sale. Net, they saved $35. Until someone takes legal action (with some basis in reality) to stop this type of stoop and scoop marketing, the programs won't walk away from huge increases in profits. It's business man, and it isn't always clean and nice. |
It's funny how sexsearch is zango'ing aff.
BTW is there a relation between sexsearch and Gamma? |

You own Pizzahut. I own Dominos. I send out some bogus free shit to everyone in town, if they accept it then in the fine print I says I have the right to offer them options when they are looking to purchase pizza. I work out a deal with the phone company so when those people go to call Pizzahut and puts in pizza hut's number the phone call is routed to Dominos where they simple say, "what would you like to order." This is almost exactly what is happening online. I love to see this shit try to fly "offline". |
Or even better, at the next conference that Zango is at I would love to get a booth and do the following:
Get some really cute girls to hand out a DVD with my how to make money (whatever) tips but tell people the only way that the girls get paid is if the people they give these DVD's out to initials a sheet showing the accepted the item. So their boss would know they really gave them out. In the small print on the page would be the person agreeing to alternatives when they are looking to buy traffic. I would then get some salesman to stand near the zango booth and everytime one of these guys walked up they would grab them by the arm and bring them over to my booth. If zango bitched I would tell them, I am providing a service (the bullshit dvd), the person accepted it (even though they did not know they were agreeing to this type of treatment) and it is legal, so they could go fuck themselves. |
i love will76 :)

I was actually thinking that the classic would be a simple toolbar install that only redirects people trying to get to zango, zango cash, or trying to click thru an ad suppled by zango. That would pretty much solve the issue.
