There's no money in SEO.

You'd be better off learning how to submmit galleries.

its google trying to make their adwords worth more, and trying to force more people to use adwords in my opinion.

he hit on a key point there that i think alot of people will miss , but i will re-iterate it..

google is trying to get people to "refine" their searches for broad terms

By showing nothing for keyword "porn" , a surfer will refine his search.. now the hit to google adwords is worth alot more to google. Because "foot fetish porn" is worth a ton more then "porn"

I don't think it's that at all, I think they are taking an active stance on porn now. I tried to get an AdWords campaign running last week, and they disapproved all of my ads, because my website has a "teen" category. They are now removing all sites with a teen category, or who advertise "teen xxx" "teen porn" "school girls" etc.

I'm considering renaming the category something like Twenties and see if they bite, but wtf?! Teen is one of the biggest and most popular categories we have, it's a bit crippling. And for what? Maybe I'll just try Yahoo instead.

For what it's worth, my large text based informational website took a massive beating in the summer, single day drop of about 80% in google traffic. Still haven't recovered. :/ No idea why. Any advice appreciated

Here's the e-mail from google. To be very clear, I was not targetting "teen" at all in my advertising, or sending to a teen landing page, or have anything to do with teens in my ad text. Simply my website contains "teen porn concepts"

Hello Socks,

Thank you for your email and for informing us of your concern regarding
the disapproval of your ads for 'Teen Porn concepts.' I apologize for any
inconvenience caused. I reviewed your account and found links on your
website for teen porn. Please note that we do not permit ads or websites
promoting teen pornography or other pornography that implies the models
are underage. Examples include but are not limited to advertisements for
(or links to) 'teen' 'teen xxx', 'teen porn', and 'school girl'
pornography. Google disallows this content despite the fact that a site
may comply with government regulations surrounding this kind of
advertising.

Per our policy, Teen porn is unacceptable content. Any product that is
considered 'Unacceptable Content' cannot be promoted in ad text and cannot
be offered on your site. The Google advertising program is managed by a
set of policies which we develop based on several factors, including user
and customer experience and legal considerations. We review our policies
regularly and make changes to keep them current and effective. Our goal is
to have policies that are fair, consistent, and adaptable.

In order to maintain fairness for our advertisers and consistency for our
users, all Google AdWords ads must follow the Editorial Guidelines and
content policy.

Our AdWords Specialists review ads in our program. Due to the volume of
ads we receive, some ads may run for a while on Google before they undergo
the approval process. We assure you that we are working diligently to
apply the same criteria to all of our ads.

Thank you for informing us of your concern, and we appreciate your
patience and understanding.

heh no thats unrelated , if they didnt want porn they would be doing alot more aggresive shifts . they just dont like cp and figure its easier to draw the line if "teen" concepts arent used

Not the first time this sort of thing has happened.. Give it a couple weeks to see if it's permanent before you start jumping to conclusions.

Don't know what google is doing but they start to fail more and more for me when I use them. Yesterday I used google to search, didn't find anything decent, tried yahoo and got excellent results in 2 seconds. It's not the first time this happens, I prefer yahoo over google the last months.
