I have been doing some research on affiliate programs and all seem to have good points and bad. I wanted to know what you guys here on the board would consider a geat affiliate program?
How about one that pays in tiers?
what about if you hit 100 sign ups you get 50% 300 sign ups 60 percent and so on?

Free space for your galleries?
Free content?
Prize's given each month or points you can spend on stuff or just good old hard cash?

How about sex? I saw a site once offered a blow job for the member who wrote the best email. What if you hit xx amount of sign ups you get female or male companionship for an hour or 2?

Publicity - If you do xx amounts of sign up your name and picture posted on the home page for all to see?

Traffic - convert and they pay for traffic to your site in an effort for more sign ups which you would be credited for?

So nows your chance to tell everyone what would be the ideal affilate program.

if my sponsor can't convert the traffic .

i think they should worry more about their sites (conversions and retentions) than about what they pay out

thats something to think about if the site sucks and can't convert doesn't matter how much they pay you.

Lets assume they can convert and average amount of traffic, now what?

the most important are conversion rates.
also tech support and fast payment is a plus.
as well a sponsor that inovate that is dynamic will guarantee you the long term income

I'm sure you are looking for things to add to whatever affiliate program you plan on releasing,so my advice would be to build a cookie cutter program and then feed off of that with your own idea's...

We're about to come out with one with new ideas.. But here's a few that most know about that not enough do:

Multiple processors - giving credit for both. Whether it's a backup processor signup or whatever.

Getting paid directly by processors. Eliminates shaving concerns.

Converting tours of course. And a members area that delivers what you promise.

very good point. if you are trying to target the large, established webmasters with serious traffic - gimmicks won't do the trick. it comes down to paying on time, converting *very* well, and retention (for recurring programs).

Personally I really like free sign up stuff, and sponsors with nice hosted galleries.

Most sponsors have promo content that doesnt even do their sites justice, at least make sure your promo section is given as much attention as your member section.

Very good point I see this often. Promo content is not the greatest for marketing. Seems like they save the best for the site.

I have a new pornstar based program launching over the next few weeks, 50k pictures to keep the surfer retaining, daily galleries, new full lengh videos each day but the best part is that I am going to buy spots at all the big tgps for my webmasters and award the top affiliates with a pornstar for the night courtsey of one of the big agencies BOdy Miracle, Nicis Girls etc...not only do you get to make money out of the girls but you also get to fuck them....tell me I am god....

NO Shit. Take the money you are spending on these 'prizes' and pay out more to all of those making you money. I'm sure they're capable of spending it themselves.

I don't think all those bonuses and prizes matter much, as long as the affiliate's sites convert good and bring lots and lots of $$$ to it's webmasters, that would be the ideal affiliate program.

Even though YOUR company might not be in the US, a webmaster that resides in the US could possibly get in trouble for breaking the law. I'm not too familiar with the law on this subject, but even though your not actually paying for the service you can still be held responsible for partaking in an illegal act... ( again, I'm not familiar with prostitution/pandering laws) so I can't say for sure.
