We have large city provided containers with heavy plastic lids. I think they would have a problem getting into them . . . I have never seen any indication of any animal getting into anyone's trash around here.

They may have been going for the berries in the trees.

little fuckers get into my dads house via the doggy door when he and my step mom go on their weekend "vacations" in the summer...

Little fuckers make such a fucking mess! Totally emptied the cupboards one night...

I like to look at them but have has some nightmares when dealing with these critters and possums too. When I lived in FLA I had this coon that would block my way into the house when I would come home from work..needless to say the garbage cans were is home. That fucking thing would make me walk around the house to go in the other door..it would sit atop the garbage can and hiss and growl at me.. it was huge.

I had finally had enough of that fuckers bullshit and came home pissed one night..got out of the car with lighter fluid and a lighter and finally put an end to that fat bastard.

thats a bit extreme... you must have sat there and watched him scream and roll until he died too you fuck-head! There are plenty of other ways to deal with racoons than setting them on fire. Wish he would have jumped in through your window while he was on fire and burned your house down.

I usually see anywhere from 4 - 10 dead raccoons on my drive into work every day.

Would you believe in the city, about a couple miles from the beach. That is why I found it weird to have 3 of them on my roof.

I agree . . . I would look silly in that hat.

Slippers would be cool though.

A coon ATTACKED my father in law 2 weeks ago.
He didn't want to, but he had to kill it :(
The thing tracked them through a trail and was going after the dogs, he sent his wife and the pups running up the trail. Next thing you know it was coming straight for him, he had to beat it off with a stick, and take care of business. He thinks it was sick, possibly rabid. Scared the shit out of him.

WebairGerard 11-22-2006 01:25 PM

cool pics. even in the city area they are around. I have seen many in NYC and the metro area. If they don't find a tree a sewer will do. :)

we have all kinds of crazy shit in New York City that people don't expect to find here like those crazy wild green parrots, hawks, bald eagles, coons, roaches that hiss like snakes, caimans in the sewers and some man made lakes in our parks, all kinds of snakes, skunks, western Black-tailed Jackrabbits, red and gray fox, coyotes, deer, Ring-necked Pheasants, Gyrfalcons, rats bigger than cats, etc etc...

Wish we could hunt here.
