one of the premises of scientology is that once you reach certain levels they reveal certain info to you.. and not to the people on the lower levels.

i always (and not really jokingly) suggested that maybe the info they reveal to you is something like "LOL, we raped you for a lot of money.. this is a biz, nothing more. but now you get revenue sharing." then at the next levels you're basically just buying more equity. almost like an MLM.

that would make scientology the most successful business in the history of the world. no one knows exactly what their assets are, but it's estimated they might control over $100B. think about that.

I dunno about that. Tom Cruise movies are huge. Hell, he got a % of gross for all three mission impossibles. He also has a production company. He is easily one of the highest paid actors in hollywood and has been doing it for a long time and still does it. Mel Gibson has been out of the acting spotlight for a while now.

Not that Mel Gibson is a nobody. Passion and braveheart made a ton, but so did MI1/2/3. It's very hard to place exact values here, though I almost positive neither is a billionaire. The didn't makes forbes list. Spielberg and Lucas did, and I know Spielberg has WAAAAAAY more than cruise and gibson, and he was like 1.5 billion I think.

I think you'll find his movie career is slowly dying from age, rather than religion. There's only so long you can "realistically" play action/hero roles. When you look at any actor, the older they get the less "blockbuster" films they make. They start playing the older, character driven roles. I'm not sure Cruise has the talent to play character driven roles.

Your pretty close actually, many of the "levels" secrets have been posted and are outrageous bullcrap..
