wtf? have you contacted his host? we have this problem everyday. contact the host, explain that your copyrighted material is being used by the guy. if they do nothing about it (this almost never happens) then contact the upstream provider.

do you folks watermark your images/logos/designs? I don't mean the big
obvious ones, bannered across the img, but
adding text to the jpeg footer, etc?

i'm working on a tool to do just this thing, will
happily send links to folks when its done. only problem with it now is it doesn't deal with
img resizing at all, you need to rerun it against
your resized imgs.

basiclly you give it a path, and whatever text you want added, and it adds it to the end of the file, WITHOUT fucking up the img itself.

if you run it with another flag, it will munge through a given img looking for said text.

sooner or later i will offer this as an online service, with a very small (VERY SMALL) fee
for the encoding, and free for the decoding.

not only did this person who is copying my galleries complain to the sponsor that i was copying HIS, but he said i didnt have a license for the pics, that i was spamming, and that my galleries are child porn.

so now, the sponsor has cancelled me, reported me to all kinds of organizations, and of course i wont be getting the $$$$ that i earned...

even tho i can prove i was the victim of theft here, they believe him because he sends more signups than me, with my stolen galleries of course...

I know you guys all hate APIC, but how long do you think this guy would be up for if he had stolen my content? Steve would have had him down in hours.

Now he's come back at Dawgy and he's are in trouble, because he tried to handle it himself.

If he is stealing you pictures or videos, serve a DMCA notice on him. 24 hours later serve it on his host, sponsors and any one elase who is benefitting financially from it.

If it's your design he has pinched I think you may have a more difficult job, what you would have to do is find out who content that is.

Who is it who handles all these matters himself, Quiet or Fletch, ask them on ICQ they might have an answer.
