need some help on ssi

Ok i got the following problem. i am using ssi on several pages and the problem is that when i protec the folder the include files are not showing up any more.

Any one knows what the problem here is or can point me in the right direction. We are using a debian sever.


hope any one can help me.

Maybe check the permissions on the files that are included.

You're protecting a directory with .htaccess then trying to include the files in that directory with an SSI? I don't think you can do that. Why not just place the files in a directory outside your public_html dir?

the include file are also in the protected folder

the way i got it setup now it is not in the public folder but in a sub folder of the public folder. I might want to try moving them out side that folder and see what will happen.
