How to copy DVD to PC and convert to wmv?!

What is the best program to copy DVD´s to PC and convert them to mpeg or wmv and optionally split to scenes?!

I bought lot of dvd lisences and got content as DVD discs. I have never converted films from DVD´s to net use. How I should do it the best way?

just use nero. has the option right there to move it from DVD to the harddrive.

Depending on the volume you purchased it may be too much for one machine to encode.

We use a cluster of machines to render video at over 20x normal speeds.

is this so you can srtream it to your xbox 360 I want to do this as well. I have a terabyte machine ready to hold my 1200 dvd collection.

Thats the non volume price. With volume the prices drop drastically. We are doing 25.00 per hour right now though for our TurkeyDay special!

i can do conversions too. and i charge 30$ a day for the work.
and this work includes:

1. Decrpytion of vob files
2. Converting the decryted file into .avi file
3. Cutting and splitting up scenes depends on how many minutes you want
4. Converting the avi file into mpeg and wmv file.
5. Etc. etc.

I have for example Video Charge Pro, Premier Pro 2 in use, but I have not found such function from those.

If it's adult DVD's, most of them are not encrypted. So you can just work with the VOB files from the DVD. I usually merge them, then split them up and then convert those files into a high-res wmv and transcode from that file with Sorenson.

2 autogk

for splitting the scenes have a look at handy saw.

and just like everyone else... im always looking for more bulk encoding work... but im also happy to just chat with you and talk you thru some of the steps.
