a relationship has to have good sex.. that changes i guess.. but i would always assume that must be the case

I am not sure if this has alraedy been said or not but....

Of course sex is important in a relationship, probably 50% in some instances. However, it is all the other qualities in a person that make for good sex.... attraction, honesty, communication, respect, comfort... etc.

This is a really old thread not sure why it got bumped. But I remember me asking because I had some friends tell me its not that important. Had to prove them wrong at the time.

It's very important.
At some points in the marriage more important than others.
Times of high stress can kill a sex life. Lack of sex life can cause marital stress. Being able to set it all aside and take care of one anothers physical and emotional needs is key to a healthy relationship.
