    The Lars/CAMS/AFF/ZANGO/... (Understandable)

    For those of you who are having problems understanding the underlying circumstances surrounding all the drams about Lars and his "questionable" practices, let me offer you this metaphor. Hopefully this will help you understand a little better:
    "Mr. Snake approaches Mr. Turtle on a river bank and asks Mr. Turtle for a ride across the water since he can't swim the river himself. Mr. Turtle politely refuses to oblige, reasoning that if he were to give Mr. Snake a ride across the river, he would surely be bitten. Mr. Snake protests saying that it would be foolish for him to bite the one carrying him, since it would result in him perishing also. Mr. Turtle considers the argument, then agrees to ferry Mr. Snake over the broad river. When they are half-way across the river Mr. Turtle feels a sharp pain and realizes he has been bitten by Mr. Snake. As the venom is beginning to take effect, Mr. Turtle sadly and resolutely asks Mr. Snake why he bit him, since the biting will also result in Mr. Snake's demise. A wry smile came upon Mr. Snake's face. "I bit you because I am a snake Mr. Turtle; that is my nature.""

      Lets say you promote AFF , if someone who has zango installed clicks your ad you wont get paid .

      Or even easier . AFF pays a company that steals your traffic

          If Legendary Lars at AdultFriendfinder ( supported by SleazyDream on this board ) openly admit stealing sales from the affiliates by the use of spyware, what going on behind the doors? Is shaving ok as well? Most disgusting of it is all are those spineless people here defending the thefts! If someone was stealing small things from their home every day should they excuse tat too, I wonder?

                      Put it another way, there are millions of surfers and a few thousand webmasters. If your product or service is aimed at surfers, can it really make sense to put time, energy and money, into stealing from webmasters instead of staying focused on your primary market?

                      There are too many people at the top of this business, who despite achieving more than they could have anticipated a few years ago, still have remarkably limited ambitions and lack any vision of this industry's real potential. That is the only reason some resort to taking crumbs from other peoples' plates.

                          Honestly, when all the controversy was steaming about AFF using unlicensed content I pulled my traffic based on the "company response". My belief is that if a company condones stealing images they most likely condone stealing - PERIOD. I do not steal and I do not do business with people who steal. Furthermore, I do not do business with people who do business with people who steal.

                          I understand that AFF has made a ton of money online, but if their business model is so weak that they have to resort to content theft and supporting adware that effectively steals the revenue from people that actually work for a living then there is no comfortable place for me in that equation.

                          I am sure that AFF has the resources to design a marketing plan that enhances what the affiliates are doing instead of one that negates those actions.
