This is how christians think

Someone gets a car accident and dies. Then they're like "it was god's will".

Someone gets a car accident and survives. Then they're like "thanks to god he survived".

Etc.

How can you be that simple?

It's a win-win situation for the 'believers'. Everything is an act or will of God. Therefore they always have an explanation.

I think that way too and I'm American. Explain to me how Christians rationalize their idiocy since you apparently understand them.

I can't stand that shit. You see people on the news who come out with that shit all the time. "god saved him blah blah blah". Fucking bollocks.

No, maybe the seatbelt saved him this time, and next time if he doesn't wear a seatbelt and it happens, he will die. Fuck all to do with god...

Nothing wrong with religion.... when you start wanting to belittle other's beliefs or when you start wanting to organize and recruit... that's when you have problems

Shall we categorize all adult webmasters? Why would you categorize all Christians? Have you spoken to every one of the millions of Christians in this country alone?

Not all think alike. Personally, I think God's rather "hands off". I think he lets us make our own mistakes and choices. I think "His will" is to let us live our life as we choose.

My favorite is, when a child dies they say "I guess God wanted another little angel in heaven" - so sick on so many different levels.

Religion is pure evil.

That's sort of like saying we can't categorize all schizophrenics as being fucking nuts. We can.

You might consider talking to a mental health professional. Little chemical balancing and you'll stop being "filled with the love of god" and go back to being the weak minded tubby pornographer you were before you found Christ again.

i despise christianity so badly. it is nothing more than a moral crutch for weaker minded people to lean on. if you can't figure out right from wrong for yourself, go ahead and be a christian. even then, who says what christianity considers right and wrong is right?

The constitution gives us the right to make our own medical decisions. Seatbelts are medical devices. Therefore, we should have a right to choose to wear or not to wear.

In my religion it just matters what kind of car you get hit by, the shinier the better. If the car gleams with the fury of a thousand suns, Lord Archiot will use his mighty mechanical arms and destroy the heathen car, then affix your broken body with new mechanical parts, augmenting you greatly. Lord Archiot hates dirty, dingy cars and will not spare your life if you were to be hit by one. In fact he would probably drain his oil on your dying body.

I grew up in a haunted house, and had a haunted condo b4 I bought my house (I actually got that shit on video tape) so there is supernatural shit out there! But if a kid gets shot by a gangbanger its the gangbangers fault he had the friggin gun! you die in a plane crash well you went up in a 50 ton airplane filled with 10,000 pounds of highly explosive fuel 20,000 feet in the air its sad but shit what do you expect

yes but you also believe that a 'man' was only 1/2 human, born from a virgin and came back from death etc . . . and somehow or other this absolves you from shame and guilt so I would say your views are rather suspect . . just my $.02 -bmb

that sounds like a deist, not a Christian. You obviously have some conflicting ideas about your religion. Christianity does not allow you to be fair and open-minded nor to live your life in any way you choose - that's just not what it says in "the Book"

The God of the Bible is basically a petty, mean-spirited, self-absorbed asshole. If that's what God's really like, well, for one, it would explain why this world is so completely fucked and two, it explains why most of his followers are a-holes too. (not referring to you but your average Christian) I actually used to like reading your blogs when you were anti-religion...

(not referring to you but your average Christian) I actually used to like reading your blogs when you were anti-religion...
Sounds to me like you're basing your beliefs on pre-conceived notions without researching the issues on your own. Many evangelicals are beginning to profess the same beliefs I mentioned.

It's ridiculous to take the Bible at face value, as the translation into English is lacking and out of context in many ways. Only in-depth study reveals what was truly intended.

I assume you mean the evangelicals that aren't buying meth and getting "massages" from gay prostitutes, and the ones that aren't embezzeling funds, sleeping with church women, or worse still molesting the children in their congregation.

From what I've seen, evangelicals (especially the TV preachers) are by far the worst. Most are money-grubbing hypocrites, or charlatans with an all to obvious political agenda.
