Someone looked up and saw "something" round in the sky and asked "uhm, does anyone else see what I am seeing"...so of course, everyone looks up, and sure enough there was something there...not a shooting star, wrong shape for a plane, it glowed....and it was flying around high in the sky for about 10 minutes before we lost view of it.

It was a UFO...meaning it was unidentified...I have no clue what it was, but there was about 50 other people there that saw what I saw and none of use could figure out a logical explanation for what it was.

Well of course, UFOs are just ‘Unidentified Flying Objects’ so of course you will believe in them. Now if you are asking do I believe in UFOs as extraterrestrial in nature? Nada. An alien species capable of interstellar flight is going to have some sort of cloaking technology (at least at the optical level) and the sheer # of people report seeing them is just really insane. We surely are not alone in this universe (statistically) but those who have the technology to transverse the stars sure the fuck have nothing to learn from us.

just because you see a ufo, doesn't necessarily mean it's piloted by an alien. a lot of ufos people see in recent years might be controlled by humans, but possibly reverse-engineered the technology from earlier crashed alien ufos...

most UFOs are just that. i suspect that most credible sightings are super sophisticated experimental military aircraft. makes sense that the government would try to cover these up.

but there are way too many credible reports, especially from pilots, military and commercial, with confirmations from NORAD, to discount alien UFOs.

on a side note (i love this stuff!), if there were aliens, they would have to have invented (discovered) time travel, via wormholes perhaps. i doubt that they would be hanging out in our Solar System, undetected.

the closest star (a "sun") to ours is Proxima Centauri, 4 LY away. it would take EIGHT years round trip, traveling at the speed of light! that's just not practical without time travel.

the Milky Way galaxy is about 100,000 light years across, and Earth is about 26,000 LY from the center of it. so traveling at THE SPEED OF LIGHT, it would take 100,000 years to travel end to end. not practical w/o time travel.

the closest galaxy to ours is Andromeda, 2.4 ish MILLION LY from us. um...again, not practical.

keep scaling up the known universe to 14 BILLION LY, some are now saying 200 BILLION...infinity, with an infinite number of "universes"...and it boggles the fucking mind.

if you believe that we are the only ones, then i would say that you MUST believe in GOD, in the traditional sense.

are there civilizations that could reasonably be say 1 BILLION light years ahead of us? can you imagine the technology?

I'm sure there is other life out there but I think 99% if not 100% of all reported UFOs are nothing more than secret aircraft. Look at the stealth bomber and fighter aircrafts.. Those were developed in the 50's.. Yet just the last 10 years or so the public has been made aware of them.

So with that in mind they have had 50 more years to develop even more shit that we probably wouldn't believe existed. Remember it was also only in the 60's that the first men flew into space and men landed on the moon with a space craft powered by a computer as simple as a basic calculator. Now look how far we have advanced in that short time in just the stuff the public knows about.
