Now I have a few cars, a 5 bedroom house, happy family and great girlfriend (never getting married (until Gene Simmons does))...

The correct expression is: I COULDN'T CARE LESS.

To say, I COULD CARE LESS, implies that you do care, at least at some level.

To say, I COULDN"T CARE LESS, implies that you could not possibly care any less than you do. In otherwords, you don't care at all.

So, here we are 12 years later and she hits me up. My life has changed dramatically as has hers. We talk on the phone for about an hour and play catch up. She apologizes for cheating on me. I could care less at this stage in my life but was courteous nonetheless. The boss dumped her a couple weeks later. She's married with 3 kids. Lives in a small farming town. yadda yadda yadda. That's it. It was nice catching up.

Anyway, a week later I found this post on her blog:
