Reminded me of this video. 747 landing at the now closed Hong Kong Kai Tak airport. This was a "typical" landing due to the airport being located in a mountainous cove.

Texas, actually, that was called a "checkerboard approach"... most of the changes of directions were as much for buildings and other man made objects as the mountains themselves. There are some points where the flight path was pretty much right at a building... Now they have a nice airport on a manmade island that is sinking slowly...

I can remember seeing a longer version of that video before, where you could see the "obstacle course" of buildings and towers along the final approach. That's just nuts trying to do that in such a big aircraft.
