Best note prompts auction fever
Notes commemorating Northern Ireland soccer legend George Best have been offered for sale at six times their face value - before they have even been released.
More than 40 auctions offering the notes are taking place on the online auction site eBay - some asking £30 for one note. The Ulster Bank limited edition £5 notes is a tribute to the Manchester United footballing genius marking the first anniversary of his death. Application forms for the notes will be available from Ulster Bank branches in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland or online from Monday.  |
