I just used Epassporte to pay all...
...of my bills online...
I was impressed... Easy to use as a credit card... But I would only use it with companies I know and trust... Cell phone provider, gas company, etc... I would not use it to order poker chips from some merchant at the top of a google listing since they got there through some bullshit... So once they get my number, more bullshit... So it made me think about the guy who was complaining because he and another webmaster got their accounts siphoned. Chris came back with the knowledge that the accounts were NOT hacked and that the person who stole their money did it through online merchant transactions... So then I thought... Duh... They both were friends and probably used their cards at the same mom and pop online merchant without any security. The merchant was probably using a 1999 version of shopping cart software and the thief probably downloaded the database with a simple hack. Moral of that story is to realize that Epassporte is NOT Chase Manhattan Bank and does NOT guarantee your money. So use it wisely! And the moral of my story is, don't leave your ATM card in the ATM every fucking time and you wouldn't have to pay for shit online until your replacement card arrives... |

A Simply idea to get rid of that is :
Create a gift Account for yourself and transfer money to it only when you wanna buy something from a non trusted merchant, than use that number to shop. no risk there. |

Superb idea! I can request a new account through topbucks and use it as my "online account".
