    Bush Admits He Lied To Media

    Interesting little point in the news conference today. Bush claims that he and Rumsfeld have been talking about "taking a new direction" and that it would imply that ol' Don would be out the door. Yet, asked last week if this would happen, Bush specifically said no... that Rummy would be around for the rest of his time in office... yet he claims now that the choice was already made but they didn't announce before the election to avoid "creating an issue during the campaign".

    So either (a) he lied last week, or (b) they had no real discussions, and this is just a reaction from Rummy knowing that he would be spending the next 2 years in front of congressional committees explaining his sorry ass tactics in Iraq.

    Either way, once again, wonder boy president fibbed.

                                      I am just shocked that he has the balls (or the lack of brains) to outrightly admit that he lied, misleading the media and therefore misleading the American Public.

                                                                              it isn't just lie, it's having the balls to say it straight out, I misled you intentionally. I lied to the media and therefore I lied to the public. Politicians are usually much more couth when it comes to coming up with cover for their tales, such as "we had discussions before, but we were not sure the timing was right for a change" or "The american people's desire for change gave us a clear signal that it was time to switch leaders on this deal" or something numb like that.

                                                                              Bush is too arrogant to even bother to try to make his dishonesty work.

                                                                                                  It seems to me that it's up to all of us to try to tell the truth, to say what we know, to say what we don't know, and recognise that we're dealing with people that are perfectly willing to, to lie to the world to attempt to further their case and to the extent people lie, ultimately they are caught lying and they lose their credibility and one would think it wouldn't take very long for that to happen dealing with people like this.
