Why is one accepted and the other attacked?

P.S. Do not try to play. I have seen many spill vile attacks at cigarette smokers in threads then latter on act all cool in a cigar thread.

One is inhaled, contains many added chemicals, and will kill you.
The other is more natural and just makes life more pleasant (as long as you're the one smoking it).

When you smoke a cigar you are not supose to inhale. You just taste the aroma in your mouth so first of you don't get cancer or shit like that from cigars and second you don't smoke a cigar 20 times every day! That can become a bit annyoing for the people around you

If I have to be in a passive smoker situation, I prefer to be next to someone smoking cigarettes 10 times more than someone smoking a cigar. The smell of cigars make me sick in the stomach.

Plus some do inhale them, face it. Actually according to many threads on here many do.

Lastly, not all cigarettes have additives. Just the more popular ones do. Not sure though if cigar companies are required to disclose the info, nor what they spray the tobacco leaves with. Specially considering some of the best come from countries with very lax standards and ethics.

OK.. For real, it's still possible to get health problems with cigars, but obviously a lot less. Additives as in cigarettes is another factor which does nothing but harm, but helps tobacco company profits.

I smoke hell knows how many cigars a day and never coughing and spluttering like some cigarette smokers.

And if anyone complains about cigar smoke (unless it's at a dining table or where it's unreasonable to smoke) - fuck off

PS Only my experience, but most folks seem to like the smell of cigars to those of cigarettes - tho, they may have been trying to be nice :-)

I can't stand cigarettes, but I enjoy a cigar every once and a while... I would never smoke while other people are eating though, and only outdoors.

Same for me, I smoke a cigar maybe once every two weeks, unlike people who smoke cigarettes several times daily. Either way, you must respect the people around you.

I purchased property in Kentucky that came with a tobacco allowance. Not being a farmer I leased my allotment to professional growers. Basically this meant they could grow more on their own property, I actually received a government allowance, lol.

Anyway the various chemicals sprayed on tobacco plants makes nicotine look healthy.

Cigars are cool, because they are usually associated with wealth, sophistication, enjoyment of taste, relaxation, etc

While cigarettes are associated with bad breath, lung cancer, addiction, additives, etc...

Agreed.......Plus, for those who smoke cigarettes, it's typically a habit where several are smoked over the course of a day. Now, I realize there are exceptions to every rule, but this is not usually the case with cigar smoking.

smoking a cigar is just as bad for your health as smoking a cigarette, one cigar takes about 30 minutes so you will be tasting the smoke aroma for 30 minutes straight - you unconsiously will inhale smoke. The statement that cigars are not as bad for your health as cigs is a myth.

I guess it doesnt have to do with the consequences on health but the fact that you dont smoke a pack of cigars like you do with cigarettes. Besides, before they put the non-smoking in all public places including bars I have often seen signs saying cigarette allowed but no cigar or pipe smoking...

I doubt that not all cigarettes are addictive; if they contain nicotine, they have to be addictive. It also depends on each person; some ppl live perfectly with smoking just once in a while having a drink while other ppl cant help burning up a pack a day (like me

)

No product that implies sending smoke in your mouth or lung is 'natural' enough to be harmless. We are not suppose to inhale any type of smoke, even if it comes from a natural source. I bet you could get lung cancer even if you'd be smoking dried parsley at the same frequency then some ppl smoke cigarettes. Any smoke is toxic to the human body in itself.
