    ban inbound traffic

    hi, folks.

a certain URL is sending traffic to my site using a text link that is completely misrepresenting what is in my members' area, and it is of course resulting in a lot of problems. attempts to contact the webmaster have been unsuccessful. his affiliate link was turned off, but the traffic keeps coming - he must have some script that was able to figure out that the link was broken, and now it sends the traffic direclty to my site without the affililate link being involved.

i know there is some way for me to set my server to reject his traffic or redirect it to an error page - can somebody please tell me how to do this?

i'm not smart at coding, so i need an easy fix. i have the referring URL, so at least the traffic is not coming from a bunch of differnt places.

    thanks in advance!

    best,
    vi
