    Affiliates vs No Affiliates?

    Out of curiosity is anyone here familiar with an adult website that has become successfull without an affiliate program?

    How far do you think you can bring a site along without affiliates?

    If there were no such thing as affiliates, what marketing strategies would you resort to, to build your site up independently?

      There are a fair number of sites without affiliate programs that do quite well for themselves. Marketing is done with many of the same techniques as an affiliate would use, but with in-house resources.

          Using affiliates means you get a lot more links, and also means people will do less than "white hat" (can't think of a better word) to get you more traffic and promotion, without actually making yourself look like a bad business. if you get what i mean.

          If you're a very good marketer, try to do it without affiliates.

              why not both? my site(look in sig), only has affilaites right now but we r implementing streamed videos and men's adult articles which will be a whole new protal for marketing and exposure. We r going to still use our affilaites , but just with a kinda synergy on the site

                      From My Own Personal Experiences Affiliates inable you to get a more broad spectrum. Where as a Sponsor or a fair amount use a set amount of templates to promote thier sites. SO as a surfer if you we a Certain Template and Disliked the Video or pic set they are more likely to just plain ignore that gallery(speaking in a tgp type sense). Where as Affiliate Fight With each other on making a Better snazzier template to attract people to your site. Basically the Lazy Webmaster who only uses your free host may do ok for you or as well as you can do yourself but spread it out more. the Motivated gallery builder can and more frequently perform better with the same content.
