But for me, tobacco is the worst drug. For us non-smokers at least, I hate to smell the shit and even on outdoors events, like sport events, concerts, etc...It sucks to sit near a smoker.

i worked alongside many very smart, successful guys who made lots of money and starting dabbling in small amounts of coke. i was the sales manager, and these were my very best guys. and now 20 years later, not a SINGLE one of those guys has a pot to piss in. while i was investing in real estate they were putting it up their nose. never was into dope myself, but from what i've seen with my own eyes i would say it's a loser. |

i doubt coke will ever get legalized - the death risk around the drug is too high. when i was in the life insurance business - hey didn't care about drugs like pot - only concern there was smoker's rates. drugs like cocain had higher morbidity rates than occupations like paracute jumpers or coal miners and was uninsurable for 7 years if they found traces in you. pot - i hope that gets legalized - it's not for me but i know sooo many people that use it for legal reasons and it helps their lives i honestly feel it should be legalized. |

A year or so ago there were US marines helping clear "leaf" which was growing near the coastline of a South American country. They were burning the "greenery".
Anyways... mentioned this to a US govt officer who has extensive experience in "leaf" and the question fires back, "Is that what they found as a job for the US marines to do? Why the fuck don't they start getting more constuctive and give farmers something better to earn a living off?" There is probably a point there - farmers gain little out of the drugs trade, they simply earn enough to live. What would a farmer choose to do? Earn out of a drug crop with the chance of it being burned down, or grow some stuff (legal) where they can earn a living? Chances are it's the latter. |
