Thought I would try this...I have been working with 2 sponsors on their rss feeds this past week and having some great success getting some nice changes made to benefit everyone, from blogs owners to tgp owners

now, I would love for some sponsors to show us their rss feeds in this thread and let us review them or pick them apart, let us tell you right here in this thread why we like them or why we would never use them

i doubt this will get much response, because frankly, most sponsors know their feeds suck, but if they would just interact more and stop only doing the bare minimum, I know I would send them way more traffic because of that solid rss feed

This is a good feed, lot of text and you didn't fill it up with your own styles, it looks to be taken directly from the wordpress rss parser, which is how it should be!
The only thing I would suggest from this is to maybe include a line on the bottom of each post that says "If you love seeing these pics of a sloppy blowjob, click here for all the action from Real Live Couples!"....because while the images and some of the text might be clickable, it is always nice to have that last line that entices the surfer to join a site...overall I give it a 8.5/10

This is a great feed, plain and simple. It is update frequently enough, all though more is always better, but it is a single girl site, so you update when she updates. Some of the updates are great, they are long and full of content, and some are a little smaller, which is good because I dont' want you filling up my blog with huge posts every time, but oen every now and then is great.....overall, I give it a 9/10

Nice idea Most the programs that offer feeds seem to only give you a link to an fhg and a one line description... More of a distinction should be made between blog feeds and gallery feeds.

yeah, that is kind of why i wanted to start this thread

I was working with topbucks all this week and they really listened and are going to start providing for tgp's AND blogs now, instead of just tgp style

it is nice when people listen, and I figure if we are all nice about it and truely help the sponsor instead of just bitching, we can get it so that everyone is happy

One of the big problems there is with your feed is there is NO links in the post itself, so when I push that feed into wordpress, the only thing that shows up is a picture and a line of text, not one single link for the surfer to click on. Now, you will say, "the title is the link"....yes, it is, BUT what happens when people are using permalinks in wordpress, is that the title of the post in the feed gets changed into the title of the permalink, see here for example:

when that feed got basically the same thing you are offering, except everything in that feed is linked to the landing page from the sponsor

I can add any size thumb pic without a problem.
As far as the other things I will have to talk to WOJ to see if he can make this happen as this is his script that generates this feed.

I think this RSS2 feed you see here is made primarily for importing galleries, thumbs and descriptions into a TGP script and not for BLOGS, but maybe he can modify it. I will send him this thread and see what he can do.

Is there any other scripts out there that you know of that can generate BLOG RSS feeds in case what I have now can not be modified?

all right, next up on my list is JoinRightNow.com, I am including them because of their copy/paste responses that they spam in every rss thread claming they are "ahead of the rss game"

This feed includes a title that is linked to the gallery and a single line of text, not one image or any linkable text. While this may be great for tgp's, I dont understand why they do this when they already have a section for hosted galleries on their site. What I would suggest is that they go back in and revamp this system to let us have options when creating our feeds, let us chose an image, let us chose what is linkable and please put a link on the post so that users can click it and go to the site! I rate this a 4/10

no, I haven't gotten ABP yet, but I plan to

right now I am dealing with the raw feeds via feedwordpress

ABP is able to take those shotty raw feeds and make them nice though, which is why I am sticking with reviewing the raw feeds.

Also if you can get with the guys with datinggold. There shit converts well but they need a little help with there feeds

wow, I just tried to see their feeds and after I hit generate and put my code in, I got a message saying "Unauthorized Access. Please contact your DatingGold representative for assistance."....so then I went to see if all links did that and got a normal text link for amateurmatch,and it came back 404...LOL

Another great idea Jace...

Not exactly a review, but just my added.

What I like from sponsor RSS feeds the most is options...

1. Allow me to choose whether I want nn/or more explicit picture content being pulled in.

2. Give me more than 3-4 sentences, and please for the love of God make sure that you have ran a spell check on your fucking feeds. I've had a couple that I've been in absolute love with, but having to correct constant obviously outsourced writer errors gets very fucking annoying.

3. Watch your keywords, and put a few categories together for me to pull from. I love getting a post from a sponsor, and its uncategorized from thier site. Is it to hard to add in a teen, hardcore, "model name"... etc category?

4. Models personal blogs, while great for outgoing links on my sidebars as friends sites... do absolutely nothing for me content wise. If you are going to do this style of blog, have some decent links back and some content.

I have a RSS CMS coming out for ADULT BLOGGERS, really soon now, its a merge of RSS CMS (Sponsor Edition)

Features.
1. Create your own creatives using uploaded sponsor content.
2. Import banners to make creatives or plain banner adveriting posts
3. Support for multiple sites/feeds via channels

Open up wp-rss2.php, and edit in your linking codes - voila, your feed is now hosted ;)

Jace - I'm convinced that it's really the nostyle=1& that was causing all the template headaches just waiting for our RSS guy to confirm and remove from the linking structure.

The other thing I'm hoping is that the image can be slightly larger - working on that, waiting for response.

Other than the image, I'd say it's good to go

yea, it's not rocket science, but to transform the whole blog to a hosted blog with this approach would take tweaking in 20 different places... and then when the time comes and you upgrade to a newer version of wordpress you will have to do it over again... a "plugin" approach is really the only way to go in my opinion....

Tour RSS for LBC is coming in the new week or so - we've been busy thumbnailing everything to make the tour browsable like Raven's & Liz's - also so your RSS links go to relevant content.

I'm finishing Kat's new tour this week as well, so that will auto RSS from there.
We're bringing Becky off the old CMS in the next little while, once she's over, same deal.

I can get Candi's RSS up in a few days max, everything is in place for that

No doubt, it's a much more comprehensive solution
I'd have to say my top hate for wordpress [and I've got a few..] is how it systematically unsets and strips cookies, sessions and request variables.
Never understood WTF it thinks it's so importantant that it can destroy user's / admin's variables.

^^^ Oops, forgot to mention that we run MPA3 so it cost this much to integrate the hosted WP blog with that system. Don't know how easily it works with other kinds of linking codes.

haha,I am too man! i need to finish up this blog project I am working on right now though, otherwise abp will just sit there and collect dust

very good thread...it's nice to see some sponsors in here, there is a lot of frustration amongst bloggers when it comes to adult rss feeds. Some programs seem to just add it so that they can say they offer RSS instead of adding it to increase their profit.

Great thread, everybody is promoting to offer RSS feeds but they are rarely usable on blogs. Real Sex Cash (I signed up for them a few weeks ago because I saw their feeds) and Nubiles show how feeds should look (Btw, the IMLive Feeds from PussyCash are good, too, small images, but nice text)!

I'd bet that any other sponsor offering feeds for blogs which stand out of the crowd (text, text and text !) would get LOADS of new affiliate signups instantly, active affiliates that are ready to send their search engine traffic !
