I do sometimes

when I have a new site opening, I will enable the toolbar and set that site as my homepage for a few weeks...you can go from no alexa to 150,000 in 2 weeks just by doing that

it gives a site a quicker start with the whole alexa thing, and although it is sad, a lot of old timers depend on alexa for reseearch

the banner is funny. the whole pioneer thing then looking at his site tours made me think of the saying "you can't teach an old dog new tricks".
