ICQ issue - Contact list won't load. Anyone else?

    ICQ issue - Contact list won't load. Anyone else?

    Yes another ICQ thread.

    I am only able to fire up ICQ to the "load contact list" step then it stops responding. I tried this with different ISPs and machines with the same result.

    Is anyone else having this issue? Oddly enough I am able to log in with a secondary account. I am wondering if the size of my contact list has something to do with this or is it just an issue with the ICQ server retrieving the list for that account.

          The problem is that someone is using Miranda with a profile image.
          I had the problem for several days until I finally could get online when the person using Miranda wasn't, I deleted most of my contacts recent contacts and that solved it for me.

          It just hangs at loading contact list and the only way to close it is thru Ctrl+Alt+Delete right?

          I could get online using 2003b but not 5.1

                  I've never had a month come and go without ICQ fucking up at least twice. Best of luck on that. I wish I knew the answer.

                      Michael thanks for the info. The next time I am able to get on I will have to clean house on my most recent contacts. This just started yesterday for me so it shouldn't be to hard to narrow this down.
