If you really must have a 9mm though....pick up one of these.

You want your gun to speak for you when you pull it out....& you want it to say

"I've come here to fuck your day all up"

http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/prog...asp?Prodid=268

and of course if you want a gun that says "I'll take you down in a speeding 18-wheeler"
then go with this.....

http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/prog...asp?Prodid=174

go to a shooting range. fid what gun feels the best for you and you are most accurate with. price should never be an issue if you are buying for protection...

for me personally its the smith and wesson tactical 9... i have 2 of them..

i tried a lot of differnt guns and i shot the best with that gun naturally, meaning i didnt have to make a lot of effort to do a 6 shot kill group...

now if its riot protection you seek....

i suggest this "seemingly assault rifle" looking weapon

thats actually a 12-gauge semi-auto (5 round) clip

http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/prog...asp?Prodid=263

it won't reach out & touch someone....but it'll clear out the alleyway

I've shot, and owned many 9mm so far this is my favorite I'm not saying this because it's the new bond gun. I'm saying this because I own one and as far as 9mm goes this is the best! very low recoil, grip is great I could go on and on about this gun, imo I think this the best. They all so make in a .45 caliber , and a.25 caliber

Steer clear of Kel-Tec brand pistols. I have one and am not very pleased with its ability to completely miss a target from 15 yards. My buddy has one as well and experiences the same issue.

if its needed to be carried concealed, glock 26 is about the best for that. Its relatively small, holds 10 rounds, and.. well its a glock. I bought two of them brand new for $489 each

The Bereta 92 is a nice firearm, easy to handle and not to shabby looking either depending on the version you go with, you should be able to pick one up for between $480-$650.

Regards,

Lee

Sig Sauer P229 http://remtek.com/arms/sig/model/229/229.htm

Can be 9mm, .40S&W or .357SIG.

I have it in .40 and also have a .357 barrel, just drops in. The clips I have will hold either. Awesome gun, all metal no plastic nonsense.

I've fired several of the XD series and liked them all. 45 and 9mm. Quite a few safety features, which could be nice if you're going to carry. My 9mm is a Glock, but I don't carry. I just wanted something with a reputation for reliability. I got mine locally, but there's a website that sells them at cost. Topglock.com I believe? I've heard good things from someone that owns a Sig, but they are generally more expensive.

yup!...golf clubs for sure

so you get yourself a non-compact, like a .357 with a nice barrel on it

and you got the best of both worlds

take down a bear from 25 yards, or blast out a gut up close

That's a nice one, but I'm thinking of getting the P239 in January. But it depends on the price.

We share similar tastes...

Honestly I'd go with a .40 or .357 in any model though. I'm really not a fan of the 9mm at all for various reasons.

He said 500 bucks maroon!!!

Glock or the Springfield XD's. You can't go wrong with either.

If you want more secure feeling, the XD is your ticket.
