Having Trouble getting URL's on ICQ lately? I have a helpfull solution.

I don't know if anyone posted this already.

But while talking to Magnus just a minute ago I realized how to finally post URL's on ICQ even though it's been screwed up for 2 weeks.

Just bracket your URL like emails sometimes do automatically.

Instead of: http://www.naughtyamerica.com

<http://www.naughtyamerica.com>

It will still show up as a clickable link but won't be a pain in the ass for the person you're sending it to to get it.

And i thought this was the way to do it (for ICQ 5.1):

shut down icq
on your hard drive go to directory "program files"
then ICQlite
then LiteDataFiles
look for a file called "antispam.xml"
rename that file to antispam.xml.bak (or whatever, so icq wont find it)
then create a blank file called antispam.xml
start up ICQ again

no ?

I know people that get sent to Google when they get their links with brackets on them . . . not sure it is a real solution
