which AVS brings you CURRENTLY a great income?

on each board you find posts, telling how much money avs-webmasters made in those good old days.
tired of using search function for finding old messages i am waiting for your replies about the avs situation nowadays

AVS System/ monthly Income / Number of sites running

thanks 4 your replies!!

sexkey works well if you're driving your own traffic to it..If you're expecting sales from the link list, you'll be disappointed.

2 examples of my own experience about avs traffic:

external/linklist traffic:
when i remeber my days as porn surfer, it took me one year to find out that you can preview the sexkey sites by klicking at MEMBERS button.
No wonder that ther's no traffic.

avs member traffic:
i had a netverifier site with own domain,3500 pics content and a counter within the membersection.
exactly 260 members stepped into my site, than nobody returned :-)
no wonder that i did no upsell with that site...

Money from SexKey has bought EVERYTHING in my life since the 90's ... and I live a GOOD life -- not bragging, but for the purposes of illustration, I drive a BMW, I take vacations at a whim, have a $12,000 PC with two 24" monitors, and have EVERY geek toy I've ever fancied. How? Checks in the mail from SexKey.

Hank, Craig (both of em), Dwayne, and the rest of the guys at SexKey (including Adam, who is now on board) are working their asses off to make it even better than it already is. They've got a new affiliate program, and a bunch of crazy shit in the pipeline.

Hit up someone over there (or me, and I'll direct you) if anyone needs that stuff.

SexKey has always been good for me. Money from promoting them has paid for just about everything I own. I bought a BMW last year with a *single* SexKey check. They rock, there's no one that's ever converted CLOSE to how they convert for me.

Although my "average" ratio with them is like 1:40-1:80, I have some (fetish) sites that do more like 1:10 ... it's sick.

And here is how much I'd recommend them ... refcode free link: http://www.sexkey.com

Hit up Craig after you've signed up -- he's a badass with getting people what they need, and has always been able to juice my sites to new levels.

Forget it, if you are hoping someone (honest) will tell you to expect much links list traffic any more. Unless you want to climb on the script wagon and generate new sites every day (maybe even then), you need to generate your own traffic to produce sales.
  1. Differentiate between the SexKey (free) and Cyberage (recurring) models, because the first is arguably an easier sell but offers no recurring income and close to zero probability of upsells.
  2. Upsells-per-site on the recurring model are a small fraction of what they once were, courtesy of dilution of the links list by thousands of sites, changes in the rules and extra effort by the program operators to grab upsells for themselves.
Whether it is best to go free or recurring really depends on which you can market most effectively and on what you offer. If you can work a narrow niche well, recurring will likely pay off better and you have half a chance of seeing some upsells. Otherwise - and I wouldn't want to think what "a lot" might be in some categories - forget upsells unless you plan to build a lot of sites. One or two will just get lost among the thousands already listed.

I haven't worked on AVS stuff in years but i still make a little bit off it from sites that are still kicking around, heres this years stats for XXXSexTicket and SexKey.

01/01/06 - 10/29/06
SexKey 130 sales 25,422 hits 1:195 $2,600.00 $0.10/click
XXXSexTicket 104 sales 7,468 hits 1:71 $2,600.00 $0.35/click
Funny that both work out to exactly $2600 at the momment, haha.

SexKey pays $20/sale and XXXSexTicket pays $25 per sale. The SK traffic comes from linklists and search engines, while the XXXSexTicket traffic comes mostly from the members areas on the SK sites (which is why the ratio is so different, but in reality they convert about the same).

While AVS sales are a nice bonus, the real $$ comes from upselling to sponsors in the members area

I build platinum sites. Then I build smaller avs sites for the system that are meant to drive upsells from the normal membership. That is the extent to which I rely on the link list because really it doesn't bring much traffic and most haven't for years. So, I promote my platinum sites as if they are like any other paysite sponsor. I promote them on my blogs, now and then on galleries (though I haven't done galleries in ages) and build SE pages. The key is to find a couple niches and own them.

I'm confused. You're not a SK webmaster, right? I upsell my SK sales into their SK movies stuff, and into ScrewBucks (their recurring model). It's VERY nice recurring revenue. If you ARE a SK webmaster, you should learn to do this. If you're NOT, then consider yourself updated on the "what's new"

The system looks good, but what's up with that domain name?

You would think they could have a more decent name describing what they offer.

I would imagine everyone will have a different answer depending on how they run their network. I have a few hundred of the different types. Don't plan on making money right away but think of it more as a long term snowball effect.

Those that still truly make decent money from a particular AVS would be crazy to advertise which. There's certainly no way I'd post stuffl like that on a public board as I want to still be making money 6, 12, 18 months down the line.

I disagree totally. I've seen an influx of new competition due to heavy exposure kill a very profitable, under-exposed AVS. The niche has absolutely nothing to do with it. But hey - you want to cut your own throat for board popularity feel free. As said above it's not something I'll ever do so I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on the subject.

Of course...it also depends to an extent as to how you work and the sales/profits you make. It'd effect some more than others but again we'll have to agree to disagree in general and I'll stick by what I said - the vast majority of those making good money from an AVS will also be smart enough not to broadcast it.

AVS isn't the easy money it used to be, and there aren't the resources out there that there once were for beginning webmasters. Those who have stuck with it since the beginning might know how to make something from it, but I wouldn't recommend it for beginners.

for board popularity? I could care less. Somebody asked a business question and I answered but I certainly didn't write a road map. The whole reason I figured how to make money from AVS was because somebody answered a question in a thread I made years back.

Anyway, Cyberage is hardly a secret and I make my money from microniches so I am more worried about knowing my markets than people pushing the AVS in general. IN my case niche is everything for the sale. In addition, the more sites are on Cyberage the easier it is for my sales to turn into rebills month after month. If I am the only one promoting Cyberage they are going to go out of buisness and my checks will stop.
