There are some real winners out there. Sad story.

My daughter works for DCFS, and happened to stop by this evening. She had a new case she had to investigate, and the mother lived a couple blocks away. She had driven by the house earlier, but no one was home, so she thought she would come by and visit me before trying again. I was getting ready to walk the dog, so I suggested we just walk by there, and if the mother was home she could "drop in." Mom was home.

About 1 1/2 hours later she came back over, with the following story (condensed version).

Parents in nasty divorce. < 2 year old daughter. Dad gets visitation 5 hours a day, 3 days a week.

There is a restraining order on the dad, but he can come to the house to drop the kid off.

For some reason, kid is always fine, up until the time the mother takes the kid from the dad, then kid starts screaming. Mom can't figure it out.

Mom is the paranoid type, but just because you are paranoid doesn't mean they aren't talking about you.

She has a full security setup at the house. Video cameras outside running 24/7. Dad knows this, so the next part of the story makes me think he isn't playing with a full deck.

Mom is looking thru videos of the last time dad dropped the kid off. After mom and kid go in house, dad is seen unwrapping a piece of wire he had twisted around his finger, with sharp ends, so that when the mom takes the kid he can scratch the kid, making her scream.

He is trying to make it look like the kid doesn't want to leave him, when in reality he is inflicting pain upon her.

We had a little talk, she went to another room and just like that, dad loses all custody.

What a dumbass.
