JP-pornshooter Man or beast ?

the photo is techically fine.. try to get the subject in the center, not off to one of the sides but right in the middle, if you camera has gridlines, turn on this feature, it helps to line up properly..
lighting is ok, dramatic but i think thats what you are looking for right ? perhaps a little red..kinda looks like she/he/beast just came out of the nuclear tanning bed..

who said ms Hulk ..?
Why should the subject be centered in the picture frame?

It looks like she placed the subject in relation to the background and
not dead center of the frame. Look at the picture and imagine the model
moved to the center of the frame without changing the camera angle.
Do you think that would have been better?

If she had placed the model in the center the model would have had
a building coming out the top of her head and the hair light wouldn't have
been nearly as effective.

Typically the eye looks at a photograph left to right much like when reading
text on a page unless there is someting " eye catching " that draws the viewer directly to it. There is nothing wrong with placing the main subject off center and especially to the right as long as there is something to fill the space and in this case the background does that.

I think her point is that she is not marketing her stuff to "most guys".

dont move her, just move the lens a little to the right, ..think the background is nice, but it is just that..a background, not what the photographer really want us "the viewer" to look at, which is also why the background is metered lower than the foreground, we dont want the background to take away from the actual subject of the photo..

Umm are you SURE that's a woman?

like The Ghost said, I'll need to see a DNA test first.

wdsguy 10-30-2006 01:27 PM

Untill Venus tells us, we can only guess as to the constraints of her set. It's possible that her background painting ends right where she placed the right side of the frame. If she moves the camera to the right it might expose something else in the background like a blank wall and that wouldn't be good.

The background is very important in any photograph and when done properly it can enhance and help tell the " story " of your picture. If done badly it can certainly take away from the picture.

she has no point.

my orginal comment and as i keep saying, was simply that "most guys" dont find that attractive and was in response to her supposed shock at peoples reaction to seeing such a "woman", when its sooooo obviously not the first time she has heard people react in such a way. nothing more.

"micro niche" says it all. that was my point exactly. not too sure whats so hard to understand about that. "micro niche" as in "almost no one finds this to be a sexual turn on". if it had a broader appeal, it wouldn't be a "micro niche". it doesn't have a broad appeal because the average guy is not turned on by a masculine woman.

thats all.

end of story.

all i was saying.

done.

Micro-niche meaning small, extremely loyal following, fewer people promoting so extremely low level of saturation, even a few thousand hardcore followers can fuel a niche and make it profitable. And we all know how realistic a small number like a few thousand would be when we're speaking in terms of a global community. Cha-ching.

sorry but again, you are having a totally different conversation that has zero to do with anything i was saying or any point i was trying to make.

thanks for playing though.

"most guys" don't like a masculine woman. period. end of story. thats all i was saying.

not quite sure why thats so hard to read or grasp.

I don't promote this niche but if I did I would be responding with "who gives a shit if most guys don't like it"

As I read it, the point of this thread was for her to ask Dean a question. Now, had she asked something more like "What do all you average joe regular porn loving guys think of this 'girl'" THEN your comments would be valid.

I don't see Venus being surprised by some of the juvenile comments in here so much as her telling those who aren't interested in this type of content to beat it.

To be honest my first thought when I looked at that pic was "Where are her tits?"..... but as a webmaster I can understand the niche and relate in that way to those who ARE into muscle chicks. Frankly I don't see where there's a need for some of the idiotic comments when she's trying to have a business conversation, but that's typical of GFY, and probably several other boards as well (but especially GFY).

Time to go take my vitamins. :D
