Star Wars for the effects

there are 10 Star Trek movies, none of them are really bad
There are 6 Star Wars movies... I would say that 3 of them suck and 1 is just 'ok' There have been 5 Star Trek series.. I dont remember how long the first one ran, but The Next Generation, Voyager, and Deep Space Nine all ran 7 years each. Enterprise lasted 2 years but I'm not sure if its still going or not. There are rumors of another Star Trek movie coming out, about the birth of the Federation, but it hasnt started production. So altogether with Star Trek you have 140+ episodes and 10 movies. With Star Wars, you have 6 movies. Thank god there has never been a series. Pretty easy to see which one is better. |

Simply not true. BTW, I am proud to say I have never seen a Star Wars or Star Trek movie (although I have seen a few minutes of the end of one ST, I think), and I have never seen a ST TV show all the way thru. |

I cant argue that Star Wars has the better special effects. But the actors, characters, storylines etc pretty much suck in all but 2 of the movies. And George Lucas' special effects company, Industrial Light & Magic, has done the special effects on a few of the Star Trek movies and dozens of series episodes. That combined with the better writing and storyline... just makes them better in my opinion. |
