Sony HDR-HC3 - 4 retailers hung up on my already - GoFuckYourself.com

so im trying to buy a sony hdr-hc3..

first thing i find out is the base model comes with NOTHING. no ac adapter. no battery. no memory stick. nothing. comes with a 15 minute DISPOSABLE battery. this is great actually, cause i only want the camera. i already have some batteries, lenses, etc.

so i try to buy the base camera...

no one wants to sell it. they try to upsell me to several different packages. that come with any range of accessories, tripods, head cleaners, ANYTHING.

i say "just sell me the camera" and 4 of them have hung up on me at that point.

one i find willing to sell the camera then explains after telling me it is in stock "we have to order it from china and it will take 3-4 weeks, and the manual will be in chinese" WTF?!?@

anyhow, im off to ebay and if that fails B&H.

I would never buy from ebay befor B&H, to me the small savings from ebay is never worth the risk and hassel.

So basically that one shop was going to order you a grey market version of the camera if you weren't willing to buy the extras. Go B&H.
