just thought i'd toss this question out there since im looking to get a new mattress. you see all kinds these days. those beautyrest ones, posturpedic, tempurpedic, blah blah. but what has been your experience?

I had this 30 year old mattress, it actually wasn't flat but curved on the side. I recommend a cot over that piece of shit.

I was going to get one but actually didn't like it. I move alot in bed when I sleep and it just doesn't feel right.

I personally don't care for tempurpedic either....they get super-hot after you've been laying on it for a while.

Go to a Sleepy's if you have them in your area - we got new beds recently, ended up dropping just under 7k for both.

Take your time shopping, don't let the sales person pressure you.. there is no other investment when your personal comfort is more important.

i just got a tempurpedic the other month...so far I'm really pleased, however i'm not sure if its really enough bang for the buck...
