My housepainter is an Aussie and LOVES the stuff. He said it's something you're just born eating but it's rarely an aquired taste unless you start when you're very young ;)

Vegemite smells exactly like catfish bait and kind of tastes like a thick funky roast beef cream. I kinda like it though.
