If you step back and look at it from the outside, you will probably realize that it is for the better and makes logical sense that it happened. You may be hurting, but you are saving yourself from much more pain in the future.

It just takes time, finding a quick replacement helps as well, but you probably won't jump right back in until you give it a bit of a "mourning" period

If a girl dumps me she's not worth my time anyway -- but I do know that some chicks like to be fought for and they don't want you to let them go w/o a bunch of tears or at least some yelling and growling... if you let them go too easily that's a point off for you. I think I watched some lame movie once where the chick was running away crying -- and the advice of one of the characters was to let the chick run a little bit -- THEN go after her -- if you run after her right away then she doesn't feel like she's being chased. Girls are weird. My most recent ex dumped me, then she regreted it, then i said "no way we´re getting back together", then she *tried* to ruin my life by telling bullshit about me to my co-workers/friends and family.

Agree with Fletch that you just need to focus on your work and you will do just fine! And then a much better girl will show up..
Me, i am far more productive now that when i was involved in a relationship! Take your time to grief if needed, then kick some serious ass with your job and you´ll be just peachy
