I agree, NOD32 is the way to go nowadays. I've been through a lot of programs and so far, NOD32 is the best I've seen. Heck, they update their definitions every day it seems.

Norton has been around forever. That in itself is a marketing problem for simple programs such as virus scanners. There is only one way to scan for a virus, yet they have to release "new and better" software each and every year. That means bloatware. Media players, AOL, IM software, etc... have all fallen into this.
