so there was a rumor that there was going to be a show in out little town of santa cruz, and even at a small nightclub....

well the rumor turned out to be true. the beastie boys and the foo fighters are playing at a club here in town called the Catalyst. there was not a word of advertisement about it.... not even an annoucement about it. they just put tickets on sale and it was sold out in moments. they sold a total of 800 tickets.

just a few hours away and legendary lars and i are going.

oh yes. so i say on this friday.... go fuck yourself

I seen Beastie Boys, Run Dmc and LLCool J back in 1989 and it's one of my favorite concerts. I remember the Beasie Boys jumping all over the stage, wonder if thet still have it in them now

its pretty crazy. the way that they are working tickets also is cool. there are no paper tickets at all. you show up to the door with your ID and they let you and one other person in. and then there are no in's and out's. so there is no way that they can sell tickets unless you are just going to be the +1 with the person that bought the tickets.

and now its just getting wierd... someone just called me from the inside of the club. there are a bunch of video cams there and eddie vedder is there. they say he is going to play also. i just dont know.

Nice, Foo Fighters are one of my favorite bands right now and I've seen them live twice. I saw them last year when they were touring with Weezer and that was one hell of a show. It was nice too considering it looks like Weezer is done so I got to see them before they called it quits. If there's a bunch of cameras there it may be for MTV or something or maybe just a DVD, who knows. Have fun...
