Ok how do you make money off of youtube ?

Here is how I am doing it, I bought LVLT where they are hosting all their shit now and burning bandwith like its a pinecone. I also am playing Akamai AKAM, as they manage most bandwidth for large companies, did you know that 1 full dvd movie download is the same bandwidth as a family of 5 uses in a whole year of generic web surfing. this means a huge huge increase in bandwidth used, it also means cisco and other hardware companies that rout traffic are going to be making fat cash again. There is another mini .com run coming again. I intend to make a few million off of this thought process. Also trade SVVS and INAP was looking at f5 networking also. Anyone know of a new must have kind of routing hardware that eveyone is using. Citrix ?? IGN is teh networkign index and also the telcom index has been on fire.

or ya could just post videos on youtube and drive traffic to your site and make a few $1000 a month. I prefer the millions.

You mean the GoToMyPC peeps? I don't think they're too involved in the hardware side of things.

Cisco is the highend routing/VPN, etc hardware that enterprise solutions need.

The whole infrastructure of the interweb is going to change drasically within the next 10 years. This could mean a more efficient internet. What happens when home computers have gbit connections? how will this affect hosting companies? More effecient internet means less dependance on hardware. How might this affect your idea?

hmm

We pay good $$ for high end exec staff, with 300+ employees we need great management team to run this giant ship.

giant ships with big market cap can always use more financing to expand their empire to compete with the likes of iac.com

Not true. A few good investments and you can make it. But you have to be willing to risk the cash.

If you had bought Google at 100 per share, you would have returned a 300$ profit per share.

Lets say that you got only 1 share, thats 300 back in your pocket. Then you buy apple at 25, it is now at 75, so you triple the investment.300 is now 900.
minus a few fees here and there. Its not easy, and you can lose your money FAST, but the profits are so well worth a few risks.

Uhmmm.... What happens if YouTube decides to leave LVLT?

I mean, if they are spending more and more with bandwidth how long do you think it will take for them to decide using their own hosting company (create a new one or even buy one)?

Gee, you know GM spends so much on healthcare, how long until they just hire their own doctors and open their own hospital?
Maybe it's a bad idea to own the company that administers benefits for GM?

I invented several ways to make money from youtube ( for us non-millionaires )

first i invented this system to run your ads along with youtube videos on the fly while playing them in media player

http://ytmnd.webspacemania.com/tube/?t=kxHZDvGtCf4 ( you simply insert the youtube video name in my url )

i also invented this other method for google adwords
and flash overlays over youtube videos with geo targetting

Probably never. You don't want a listed company getting complaints about facilitating content theft, they'd actually have to deal with that.

Lars if you're still around I would like for you to answer this.

I am a beginning investor. I still have a lot to learn about the stock market.

However, I opened an account with buyandhold.com which is good for people to start investing slowly with very little cash.

Do you think this is a good start?

Once I get more cash on hand, I will then go to a place like fidelity an open account.

Lars, what happened to Level 3 (LVLT)? Back in 2000, they were at over $100/share. Now six years later, they're at ~$5/share.
