someone sent me an image url that saved as a .pif, what are they?

should i open it? i probably wont anyway.

I forget exactly what it stands for, but basically it's a window's shortcut. Yes it's bad. Don't open it.

Short for Program InFormation file, a type of file that holds information about how Windows should run a non-Windows application.
