wdsguy 10-17-2006 08:25 AM

holy fuck!!

Sosa 10-17-2006 08:27 AM

jebus, we have been finding dead wold spiders in our window wells around our house. Been reading they are pretty common during the fall in nebraska and go around houses during that time. We are in a new development so I'm sure they are coming in from the fields and can't get themselves out the window wells and pretty much just die.

Yes, its a wolf spider. but it is far from harmless. Them, just as thier resmbling cousin (hobo spider) like to "eat" holes in your flesh, not just a bite, they eat flesh. If they get you while you sleep they bite first . inject the numbing poison. They then start to devour your epidural flesh until you awaken in horror.

Remove it from your house...

seeric 10-17-2006 08:30 AM

i've had those exact ones in my house in florida before i moved. they are fast as fuck. i hear they have a nasty bite too.

i sprayed one with shoe cleaner and he croked.

CaptainHowdy 10-17-2006 08:35 AM

Scary !!

Tom_PM 10-17-2006 08:36 AM

It's only 3 inches or so, I'd crush it with my shoe I think.. then clean off the wall really well, lol.

Everytime I go into my basement I do a quick hunt for running critters and have a stomp-a-thon if I see anything large and creepy.

We get some weird super hard shelled beetles here in the earlier fall. I mean you have to step and put your weight into it and they CRUNCH..and if it's on carpet, forget it. I swear to god I stepped on one and it didnt even break until I stomped super hard. Really amazing little fuckers..

TG Rebecca 10-17-2006 08:51 AM

dear lord..

i know it's nice and humane to take them outside and let them free and everything..

but as far as i'm concerned if they're in my house, they're an intruder.. so prepare to get shot. :BangBang:

good luck!

yeah, I keep a check around the house now and am always spraying the downstairs where my kids sleep. My kids come get me when they find a spider...if its not a cotton jumping spider it gets killed, if its a widow..we catch it..so far no other widows have been found since last year.

don't kill it, spiders are good for keeping other bugs down, as long as its not gonna harm you in anyway, just remove it from the area

Black Widows are all over in southern California...I got bit once by it...was hospitalised for a day because I got there about 12 hours after I had been bitten. They said if I would have waited till the next day I could have lost my leg or even died. :(

The Captain 10-17-2006 10:02 PM
