I don't recommend fulltime retiring young or old.
The best thing to do, if you want to head that way, is to just allow your schedule to include more R&R time for things besides business.
I think it's much better for your health and stamina, and your business, to keep working until you no longer can physically. Working hard keeps you going and competitive. It's like being on a sports team and keeps the spirit energized.
From a money standpoint, retiring means you'll miss out on lots of new opportunities because your eye will no longer be on the ball.

Probably true for many people - but for many others, not necessarily.
As a one-man band (currently) who has spent most of his life (in other industries, not just this one) as a workaholic doing anywhere from 10-16 hours a day - the ideas of not having to get up in the morning to immediately deal with "customer service" (that is, dealing with morons and functional illiterates), updates and so on - being able to take a 3 week vacation without having to take a laptop to be able to work on the road - and not having to worry about the world of 2257 is a *very* appealing concept :winkwink:
Being able to retire comfortably and spend time with family, travelling, reading, and doing volunteer work seems like a very nice goal - at least to me :-)
