    anyhave yahoo DSL "elite" pkg, 6mbps ?

    i see this advertized for $35/month, pitching "up to 6.0 mbps"

    what are realistic speeds, and realistic UPLOAD speeds?

      had it before, there's a nice bit of overhead associated with dsl so you might expect around 5mbit download, and about 500kbps up

              I have 6mbps/512kbps dsl with a different company

              I get slightly higher then the rated speeds though.

                              I don't think you will get 6mbs unless you live next door to your phone company... realistically I would imagine you would get 4-5mbps

                                  FIOS is capped also they hype it to seem you have fiber speeds coming in THROUGHOUT the house but it aint true

                                          ahh, I see. Sucks none of the companies around Houston really try to compete with each other. Pretty much had the same speeds for the last 4-5 years
