Just a WARNING that I'm going to steal your stuff.

I just got an email from someone that said the following:

    Hey Jak ,

I installed the stipkittens demo's and i must say , it looks very nice , I was wondering if you needed any help with anything , like texturing , and stuff...and if you could buy the full version without the use of a credit card...

So I emailed back letting him know how to pay via other methods and also how to send a resume and portfolio for job consideration.

Next I get the response, which came totally from out of left field:

You seem a pretty nice guy , gonna warn you for something though. Beware the warez scene , they got eye for your stripkittens, if a member of a certain group I am a member of gets a hold of your prog , it will be leaked to a shit load of people , so really watch out for that man...

Damn. Not too big of a surprise really but being emailed about it in advance was freakin' strange. We have counter-measures in place to help circumvent too much monetary damage from piracy but this is the first time I've been warned ahead of time before our stuff was stolen.

It's like someone calling to let you know they're going to rob your house later that night.

Don't sweat it, man. It will most likely be cracked and spread around but, from what I have seen, that could be a good thing. I personaly believe that Macromedia and Photoshop beat the hell out of the competition because they were cracked all over the place. Everyone started using them over progs like CorelDraw because they were "free" and now they are the standard.

If you guys have not checked out the StripKitten program, do so now. It totally kicks ass!

StripKittens looks really cool. Thing is, I wouldn't boot any machine I own with a Microsoft operating system. Not if you paid me. Well, maybe if you paid me... ;)

Looks like a pretty good program, it's just too bad I can't seem to run it on my system. it keeps giving me this error: The dancer.exe file is linked to missing export ddraw.dll

Checked my files, and I have it. any clue?

System that I tried running it on is Win 98.

                        Vox,

Strange. Do you have DirectX 8.0 or higher installed? Hey actually if you want to head over to our forum I can troubleshoot it a bit better than in here.

                        Thanks,
                        - Jak

I've got a live video of that, even better than the album version. And it's much more "rocky"

                            NERD are fuckin' great.

can't you blueprint each program and then have it log into a server somewhere.

if more than one of the same blueprint is running it disables them all?
